Wire wrapping is a form of jewelry, made entirely by hand and without soldering. Sterling silver or gold-filled wire is bent and shaped to create what you see on our website. Necklaces and bracelets are created either by connecting individual wire wrapped segments or by stringing individual beads on wire and sometimes incorporating chain, depending on the look we want to achieve. We use a combination of beautiful, hand-selected accents in conjunction with the wire, including lampwork beads. Swarovski and Czech crystals, semi-precious stones and high quality sterling silver, including Turkish and Bali silver beads. In addition, our clasps are hand-made for the chains we sell to go with our pendants. They are designed to be very easy to put on and take off. You never need to search for the little lever or break a nail trying to hold the lever open. Additionally, our pendants are designed to slide over the hook end of the clasp on these chains, making the pendants interchangeable.

Custom design work is available, particularly for bridal and wedding party jewelry. We begin with our basic design ideas and together with the bride, create necklaces, earrings, and bracelets to compliment each personality, dress design and color to make a truly unique event. This process is more time consuming; therefore, additional lead-time is requested for an entire bridal party.

Wild Hare Designs are created by husband-and-wife team, Ron and Carole. Ron comes from a family of jewelry makers that goes back over 5 decades. Together, Ron and Carole have been creating unique wire wrapped jewelry, hand-made in Northern California, for a number of years. During that time, they have taken many classes from local artists and strive to continue to perfect their techniques. The wire wrapping is kept simple to alleviate distraction from the beauty of the colors in the lampwork and stone beads.
